HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A two-day undercover operation targeting human trafficking in the Hendersonville area has led to the arrest of nine individuals, authorities announced Monday.
The joint operation, conducted April 11-12, involved the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Human Trafficking Unit, Hendersonville Police, the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, the 18th Judicial Drug Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations and the Office of District Attorney General Ray Whitley.
Agents posted decoy ads on websites known for prostitution and sex trafficking, focusing on suspects attempting to solicit minors. Those arrested face charges ranging from promoting prostitution to patronizing or soliciting minors for sex.
Two individuals identified as potential trafficking victims were recovered and offered services through Thistle Farms and AncoraTN.
