NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update: U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) have announced a new push for the creation of a national database and more money for law enforcement to combat human trafficking on the country’s interstate system.
This push is a bipartisan effort to curb human trafficking in the U.S.
Earlier: U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) are working together to push for legislation to combat human trafficking along the country’s interstate system.
The pair of senators has collaborated on bills combating human trafficking:
- National Human Trafficking Database Act
- Stopping the Abuse, Victimization, and Exploitation of Girls (SAVE Girls) Act
