Amber Barrett was on the scoresheet as the Ireland Women’s National Team defeated Greece 4-0 in their third Group 2 game of their 2025 UEFA Nations League campaign.

With almost the last kick of the game, substitute Barrett - a native of Milford who plays for Belgian Super League club Standard Liège - marked her 50th Ireland appearance with a goal when she cut in from the right and her low shot flew into the bottom left corner to complete the win. It was her ninth goal for Ireland, having also scored in the last visit to Greece in November 2019 - a 1-1 draw in Athens.

Goals from Sheva, Kyra Carusa and Jessie Stapleton put Ireland three up, having been transformed by the half-time introduction of Marissa Sheva and Katie McCabe, who was initially rested due to a calf injury, with the score 0-0.

Tyler Toland from St Johnston, who plays for Blackburn Rovers, started in midfield for Ireland, who were looking to get their campaign back on track following a 4-0 loss to Slovenia in February. London-born Anna Patten played the 90 minutes. The Aston Villa defender qualifies for Ireland through her maternal grandparents - Donald Coyle, a native of Falcarragh and Bridie Coyle, nee Conroy, from Lettermore in Galway. Barrett came on with 12 minutes to play at the Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium in Heraklion, Crete.
