Dominican table grape exports surpass US$3.270 million

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican government announced that exports of locally grown table grapes surpassed US$3.270 million in the past year, signaling a major achievement for the national agroindustry. The announcement was made during an official event in Guayubín, Monte Cristi, led by President Luis Abinader and Agriculture Minister Limber Cruz, held at the farm of Arismendy Almonte, the country’s top table grape exporter.

Minister Cruz praised the quality and dedication of Dominican farmers, emphasizing that their work is proving the country’s capacity to deliver world-class agricultural products. He noted that the success of grape exports marks a new era for the Dominican agroindustry and opens doors to global markets.

In addition to exports, table grapes will also be made available in local markets to ensure that Dominican citizens benefit from these fresh, high-quality fruits. The initiative reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the rural economy while positioning the Dominican Republic as a competitive player in international agriculture.
