South Korea saw a similar correction, with its rate returning to 25 per cent after briefly being listed as 26 per cent. The tariff rates for Bosnia and Herzegovina (35 per cent), Botswana (37 per cent), Cameroon (11 per cent), the Falkland Islands (41 per cent), Malawi (17 per cent), Myanmar (Burma) (44 per cent), Nicaragua (18 per cent), Norway (15 per cent), Pakistan (29 per cent), the Philippines (17 per cent), Serbia (37 per cent), South Africa (30 per cent), Switzerland (31 per cent), Thailand (36 per cent), and Vanuatu (22 per cent) have also been rectified in the updated document.
The discrepancies came to light after a review revealed that the initial annex listed tariff rates one percentage point higher than those shown during Trump’s announcement. The White House has now aligned the final rates with the original presentation.
Under the new executive order, all US trading partners will begin facing a baseline 10 per cent tariff from April 5. Four days later, only those countries named in the annex will see their rates increase to the revised levels specified.
