Community Unites for the 2nd Annual Seaside Stride Beach Trek to Combat Human Trafficking

Seaside Stride Beach Trek Run will start at FishLips Waterfront Grill in Cape Canaveral

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — The Seaside Stride Beach Trek returns for its second year, inviting community members to raise awareness and funds to combat human trafficking.

This impactful event will occur on Saturday, April 5, 2025, starting at FishLips Waterfront Grill in Cape Canaveral.

Participants can choose between two trek distances: a 20-mile trek commencing at 5:00 AM and a 10-mile trek starting at 8:00 AM. Both routes are designed as out-and-back courses along the scenic shoreline, beginning and ending at Fish Lips Waterfront Grill.

The event emphasizes community engagement over competition, encouraging outdoor enthusiasts to unite for a meaningful cause.

“This is not a race, but a community event to gather outdoor enthusiasts to RISE together to help bring awareness and end the sexual exploitation of others,” said the event organizers.

The Seaside Stride Beach Trek is part of the Get Outdoors for Freedom Spring & Summer Series, organized by I Am a Freedom Fighter, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating human trafficking. The event aims to educate the public about the realities of human trafficking and mobilize support for ongoing efforts to end this global issue.

Registration is open to individuals of all fitness levels. Participants are encouraged to prepare for the trek by following the provided training guide and to engage in personal fundraising efforts to support the cause further. All registrants will receive an event t-shirt, a swag bag, and a complimentary drink and light breakfast snacks at the post-trek celebration.
