Greek police chief discusses border security, human trafficking at international event

The Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Dimitris Mallios, participated in an international conference in London on Tuesday, focusing on border security and organized immigration crime.

Titled “Border Security Summit: Organized Immigration Crime,” the event brought together police chiefs, senior law enforcement officials, and representatives from international organizations to discuss challenges and strategies related to migrant smuggling and human trafficking.

Mallios highlighted Greece’s efforts in combating illegal trafficking networks and broader cross-border organized crime, sharing key strategies implemented by the Greek police.

According to the Greek police headquarters, he also held meetings with his counterparts from European and international law enforcement agencies, as well as with the Director General of the UK’s National Crime Agency, Graeme Biggar, strengthening cooperation on intelligence sharing and joint operations.
