Human trafficking | 23 South Africans rescued from Myanmar return home

JOHANNESBURG - Twenty-three South Africans are back in the country after being rescued from Myanmar.

They are part of 7,000 people from different countries lured to Thailand, with promises of jobs by an employment agency.

Once in Thailand, they were transported to Myanmar against their will, to work in a scammers office.
