It was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, who delivered the message to the President of Togo.

"A message from João Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola, to his Togolese counterpart Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, was delivered on the morning of this Thursday, March 27, in Lomé, Republic of Togo, by Téte António, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola", informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

In the letter, the President of the Republic "expresses his solidarity with the Togolese people and Government, and calls for the deepening of bilateral and multilateral relations, including issues of mutual interest at regional and continental level".

According to the Ministry, the delivery of the message to the Togolese President was witnessed by Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad, and by João Baptista Domingos Quiosa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola in the Republic of Ghana, with non-resident status in the Republic of Togo.
