GUJRANWALA/LAHORE: The FIA arrested the accused involved in illegal trafficking of the 20 people who were killed by terrorists in Kech, Balochistan, a few days ago. The FIA arrested Sohail Shakil from Gujrat, as he had sent five to Balochistan. Another accused Waheed Khan, who was captured from Sialkot, confessed that he handed over 15 youth to an agent in Quetta.
On the other hand, the FIA has decided to contact the Interpol for its help in arresting the two accused human traffickers involved in the matter.
According to FIA Gujranwala Deputy Director Khalid Anees, six human smugglers related to the Kech
tragedy have so far been arrested, including the main culprit, Sadiq, who was arrested from Quetta the other day.
He said two accused smugglers were currently hiding in Turkey and Germany and they would approach Interpol for their arrest and adding that the two other accused, hiding in the country, would also be captured soon.
He said the FIA Gujranwala circle had arrested around 700 human smugglers and agents, including around 400 land routes agents, during the current year.
Separately, Khalid Anis told Geo News that Sohail was arrested on the charges of facilitating the illegal journey to Germany via Turbat. His brother, Humayun Shakil, was in Germany and ran the human smuggling business in coordination with the arrested suspect, he added.
He said Talib used to impersonate as an Iranian national and illegally took the people from Quetta to Iran, he said, adding, "The victims had stayed with Sadiq in Quetta."
