Hungarian court sentences three Bulgarians to 25 years in prison for death of 71 migrants

The court in Hungary sentenced three Bulgarian citizens and an Afghan to 25 years in prison each for the death of 71 migrants from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, found suffocated in a truck in Austria in 2015. The four main suspects part of a human trafficking criminal network were accused of killing 59 men, 8 women and 4 children, including a baby during the peak of the migrant wave to Europe. Charges were raised for being part of an organized criminal group for trafficking in human beings. The sentence can be appealed.
