COLUMBIA — Missouri Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler hosted a summit on human trafficking Monday.
Hartzler said Missouri ranks 16th in the nation for the number of trafficking reports and said she wants to change Missouri’s high ranking for human trafficking reports.
Hartzler’s summit at Columbia’s Battle High School brought together victims, advocates, and law enforcement officers, as participants shared their experiences and discussed efforts to stop human trafficking.
Hartzler hosted a similar summit four years ago and said there is still work to be done.
