Tired? Ivanka Trump uses an SUV to travel ONE BLOCK from her New York City apartment, taking 20 minutes to complete the journey - which would have been just a two-minute walk

  • The First Daughter, 35, left her home on Park Avenue this morning wearing a grey pantsuit and aviator sunglasses
  • She then got into an SUV to make the very short trip to the Regency Hotel, which is approximately a two-minute walk away from her apartment building
  • Ironically, the drive took her more than ten times the normal time thanks to the city's one-way system and busy traffic
  • In May, Ivanka reportedly tried to convince her father to keep the US in the Paris Accord, an international agreement to try and mitigate global warming
  • Ivanka and Jared, 36, both joined President Trump and Melania at the UN yesterday, along with her brother Eric, and his wife Lara, who just gave birth
  • The mother-of-three also spoke on Tuesday during a session on action to end forced labor, modern slavery and human trafficking
  • Last night, she went out for the evening wearing a pair of bright red patent leather slingback heels, as well as a slick of shiny scarlet lipstick

Ivanka Trump has had a busy few days in her hometown of New York City - so much so that it appears she has grown too tired to make a short one-and-a-half block walk.

On Wednesday morning, the First Daughter relied on the use of an SUV to make the journey from her family's home on Park Avenue to the Regency Hotel, a trip which would take just two minutes on foot.

Ironically, traveling by car took Ivanka, 35, more than ten times the normal time, thanks to the city's one-way systems - and the additional traffic caused by the road closures around the UN for the General Assembly, the very reason that Ivanka is in town.

Indeed, Google Maps suggests that Ivanka could have reached the Regency within two minutes of leaving her home at Trump Park Avenue, illustrating a very quick and easy walk up one avenue, that requires nothing more than crossing two streets.

A car journey, on the other hand, requires a lot more time - and would have meant Ivanka traveled more than three times the necessary distance, with her SUV forced to cross to the other side of Park Avenue, drive up several blocks, cross again, and then double back, before finally delivering her at the hotel entrance.

And according to an onlooker who saw Ivanka making the journey, traveling by car appeared to be a lot more effort than it was worth, with the vehicle forced to make several diversions because of road closures and grid-locked traffic.

'Her cars had to go around [the] block to get to hotel and it took them about 20 minutes to arrive,' the source told Daily Mail Online.

The seemingly-convoluted route is all the more baffling given that Ivanka was such a strong supporter of the Paris Accord, an international agreement focused on tackling global warming in an attempt to mitigate its effects on the globe.

Back in May, both and Ivanka and her husband Jared were said to have tried to convince the president to keep the US in the accord, however he ultimately ignored their advice and announced his decision to withdraw - an announcement which neither Ivanka or Jared were there to witness.

But the impact of her SUV's emissions on the environment seem to have been lost on Ivanka, who made several trips in the large vehicle on Wednesday.

Having already been out once in the morning before her trip to the Regency Hotel, Ivanka was later pictured returning to, and then leaving, her apartment in a grey pantsuit, which she paired with aviator sunglasses, a blue top, and light blue kitten heels, which brought an edgy touch to her outfit.

She wore her long hair in a low ponytail and finished off her look with a pair of hoop earrings, along with her signature make-up featuring neutral tones.

Strutting her stuff in the low heels - much lower than her usual choice of sky-high heel - Ivanka proceeded to climb into a waiting SUV, the door of which was held open for her by a waiting Secret Service agent.

The vehicle then made the trip to the Regency, less than two blocks away, where Ivanka was seen getting out of the car, before walking into the hotel.

Shortly after entering, she then returned to her apartment - once again traveling by SUV - making the overly-complicated one-block drive again in order to go home, a trip which took ten minutes this time, a short trip in comparison with the mammoth journey made to get there, but still an unnecessarily lengthy amount of time to make what should have been a two-minute trip.

'Ivanka stayed about an hour, and then she shot straight back to her apartment, which took about 10 minutes with traffic,' the onlooker revealed.

'If she walked it would have been so much easier.'

It is not known what Ivanka was doing at the hotel, however she is currently in town to support her father as he and First Lady Melania Trump attend the United Nations General Assembly.

Her latest outing actually came the day after she joined world leaders to speak during a session on action to end forced labor, modern slavery and human trafficking, and listened to her father's bombastic speech.

Ivanka, who met Monday with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee for the Red Cross, was also set to meet with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and to have coffee with Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.

The President's daughter and senior adviser has had a whirlwind few days during her New York City stay, from UN visits to TV interviews.

Last night, she went out for the evening and put on an incredibly glamorous display as she left her apartment, looking very chic in a black-and-white cold-shoulder dress.

Adding a bright splash of color to the monochrome ensemble, Ivanka - who was pictured without husband Jared Kushner, 36 - wore a pair of bright red patent leather slingback heels, as well as a slick of shiny scarlet lipstick.

She also gave her signature make-up look a rather glamorous boost, adding a dark smokey eye, plenty of bronzer, and some gleaming highlighter on her cheekbones.

The finishing touches were her accessories - a pair of large pearl hoop earrings, and a sleek black clutch - which tied the whole look together.

Ivanka certainly seems to have relished returning to her old stomping grounds over the past couple of days, making several bold fashion statements that have proved a real hit with photographers.

Out on the town! She also found some time in between appointments to head out for an evening, opting for another monochrome outfit, this time with bright red shoes

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, Ivanka showed off another chic ensemble as she made her way to the United Nations with husband Jared, in order to support her father, President Donald Trump, as he addressed the UN General Assembly for the first time.

Ivanka looked chic in a camel colored skirt with black embellishments, which she paired with a black turtleneck and the same black ankle-strap heels she wore the previous day.

The mother of three wore her long blond hair in a low bun. Her husband, meanwhile, looked businesslike in a suit and tie.

And on Monday, the First Daughter showcased a different kind of hairstyle, pulling her blonde locks back in a loose low ponytail, adding a girly twist in the form of a black ribbon.

She wore a black dress with a red floral design and peplum, and the same simple black ankle-strap heels she was seen wearing again on Tuesday.

It was a special day for the family, especially because Ivanka and Jared were able to meet their nephew Luke for the first time.

Ivanka's brother Eric and his wife Lara welcomed Eric 'Luke' Trump into the world last Tuesday, but the couple was in Washington, D.C. and wasn't able to see the baby.

The proud aunt took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo of herself holding the newborn.

'Cuddling my little nephew Luke... my favorite part of an incredible day!' she added.

But Ivanka's trip to New York hasn't just been about family and fashion; on Monday, she taped an episode of Dr. Oz - set to air on Thursday - and during the interview, revealed that she suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of all three of her children: Arabella, six, Joseph, three, and Theodore, their youngest, aged one, according to E! News.

'With each of my three children I had some level of postpartum,' she admitted.

After Dr. Oz asked her to clarify her statement, she confirmed that she had suffered from postpartum depression.

'It was a very challenging, emotional time for me because I felt like I was not living up to my potential as a parent or as an entrepreneur and as an executive,' she said. 'And I had had such easy pregnancies that in some way the juxtaposition hit me even harder.'

Ivanka admitted during the interview that she didn't realize she was willing to discuss something as personal as postpartum depression, until she had been asked the question.

'It's incredibly important and look I consider myself a very hard-charging person, I am ambitious, I'm passionate, I'm driven, but this is something that affects parents all over the country,' she said.

During the interview, Ivanka also spoke out about her role within the White House, revealing that she doesn't believed it is her 'obligation to moderate' her father, as she insists her critics misunderstand her role as a White House senior adviser, addressing the expectation that she should be a moderating force in President Trump's administration.

'I think my role and [the role of] anyone who works for the President of the United States, their role is to inform, advise and then ultimately execute,' she said. 'So I am not the decision maker.

'I have my views and I share them candidly — and as a daughter I have the latitude to do that,' she continued. 'But I also respect the process that my father is now president, and the America people elected him based on his agenda. My job isn't to undermine that agenda.'

Ivanka went on to say that her role is to 'embrace the areas where there is commonality', explaining she is 'deeply passionate about fueling the grown of women entrepreneurs' and 'supporting American working families'.

Trump's eldest daughter said she feels 'privileged' that he has given her a platform to push the areas and issues that are important to her when they are aligned with his agenda.

'Where I disagree with the agenda, I will share it with him quietly,' she added. 'I don't view it as my obligation to moderate. And I don’t think anyone working for a sitting president should see themselves in that capacity.'

Many of Ivanka's critics accuse her of being a fake feminist, and those who thought she would be a moderating force in the White House have been disappointed in her inability to affect her father's agenda.

While refusing to name the first daughter directly, Hillary Clinton recently shared her belief that Ivanka should be her 'held accountable' for supporting his agenda.

'Everyone associated with him, they're either on-board with that, or they're not, and if they're not, they need to be speaking out or leaving,' she said in an interview

During the taping, Ivanka also commented on Hillary's newly-published book, What Happened, in which the former Democratic candidate reveals her tale of the election that saw Ivanka's father become commander in chief.

'Was blown away by how beautiful and elegant Ivanka Trump was,' an audience member wrote on Facebook.

'The highlight of the show was when Ivanka joked about taking over her father’s Twitter account. I’m surprised she even commented on [Hillary Clinton’s] book …'
